Line Haul Services
Mobile Air Transport has streamlined its line haul system to serve our client base better and build efficiency and flexibility. Our goal in 2019 was to offer an improved, flexible service in our western New York service area. This has been accomplished with the development of a hub operation in Binghamton, NY, the center of our service footprint. We feed the new hub with multiple nightly line hauls from two of our gateways (JFK and EWR), distributing and receiving shipments on our line hauls from BUF, ROC, and SYR. We still have direct load line hauls between JFK and EWR to and from ALB and SWF, and our interline service to BOS and New England will continue uninterrupted. To provide overnight service between all of our locations, balance loads, and cover overflow, we established what we call a Triangle Run each night from ALB to BGM to SYR and back to ALB. This offers connectivity to all our locations, balances capacity, manages fluctuating volumes and accomplishes the efficiencies necessary to maintain the high level of service our customers are accustomed to from Mobile Air Transport.
