Mobile Air Transport can be considered a "New Dimension in Transportation", innovative and different.

As a regulated common carrier, Mobile Air opened its' doors in 1971 performing local cartage for the airline and air freight forwarder industry. Within a short period of time the business was expanded offering a nightly line haul between the Albany and JFK International Airports.

On October 14, 1981 the company was sold to John J. Ingemie, and merged with his other local cartage company, Minute Air. The combined companies with a young aggressive management team began exploring new horizons. We diversified into new areas and expanded our operation to the Canadian border. In 1984 the expansion was made to upstate New York moving international and domestic freight between the New York and Newark airports; and Syracuse, Rochester and Buffalo. On November 12, 1994, Mobile Air Transport had the opportunity to expand it's operation to the Binghamton, NY area through the acquisition of Herlihy Trucking, a 45 year old common carrier with a great reputation in the air freight industry. This addition gave us exceptional coverage in the southern tier area of New York State. In addition to the line haul service in 1994 we entered into the Airport Cargo Handling service. We maintain and operate the cargo office and facilities at the Albany International Airport for US Airways, Delta, Northwest, Southwest and United Airlines. December of 1995 we purchased a 30,000 SF warehouse and filed it with U.S. Customs to operate a bonded Container Freight Station, that complements the international business. With the new warehouse and the airport operation, Mobile Air Transport provides a full service operation for all of the forwarders needs.

Mobile Air Transport serves its' customer base of over 1,000 forwarders, airlines and industrial companies out of its' modern terminal and General Offices just off the Albany International Airport on Runway Avenue and the newly renovated distribution warehouse. We offer air freight pickup, delivery and line haul, LTL interstate and intrastate general commodity surface transportation, distribution service, LCL ocean transportation, U.S. Customs bonded service, expedited delivery service, and specialized transportation that can be tailored specifically to fit the customers requirements.

Utilizing a variety of well maintained vehicles, dedicated agents and state of the art computerized billing, dispatch, and tracing; Mobile Air Transport created a transportation network that leads the industry in our market area.
